The Ultimate Insider’s Guide to Crushing Your Trip to Work as an ATL Airport Employee
Shift helps ATL Airport employees find a better way to get to work. This is our Ultimate Insider’s Guide. Save money. Find a ride. Get rewards.
Is your airport parking provided by your employer? If so…
Then consider yourself lucky.
If you’re one of the many who don’t receive employee parking and you have wondered “Where do Atlanta airport employees park?”, this guide is for you.
Looking for the best options for employee parking at the Atlanta airport?
Below, we’ve put together the best commute options to make airport employee parking a more cost-effective and reliable experience.
Typically, there are three different types of parking for ATL employees:
This guide mainly covers the first two options, as they are open for any employee to park. If you are looking for Delta Air Lines employee parking, including Delta employee parking on Camp Creek Parkway, check with your manager or a Human Resources contact.
The map below shows the ParkATL locations in blue and the private, off-site lots in green.
Information and pricing are always being updated, so there are a few variables to consider when you’re looking for parking:
Daily Cost
Lot Location and Shuttle Times
Rewards Programs
Other Miscellaneous Factors to Consider
Let’s cover carpooling to the Atlanta airport.
What is carpooling, exactly?
The answer might seem obvious, but carpooling is just sharing a ride to work with someone else that also works at the Atlanta airport. And it offers a lot more benefits when those rides are tracked on the GA Commute App. More on that shortly.
In addition to being way less expensive than ridesharing services like Uber or Lyft, carpooling could allow you to park directly at the airport and still save money.
For example, if you and a coworker share the ride to work, you could start using the parking lots right by the airport for $7 a day per person (when you split the cost… even less if your carpool is you and two other coworkers). For less than the price of the off-site lots, you can skip the need for that annoying shuttle and save 20-60 minutes of your time in the process. Every day.
Already know coworkers that live in the same general area? That’s your best start. But if you don’t know anybody to share a ride with…
Shift is here to simplify this process using our community of airport workers that are also looking for people to share a ride to work. Check out our complete guide to carpooling to the Atlanta airport.
Here’s an example…
Dionne and Claudette joined the Shift Insider program and and started sharing a ride to work… saving money and even more importantly, sharing the stress of driving every day (sometimes Dionne drives, sometime Claudette drives).
Becoming s Shift Insider is easy (and always free)… get our 5-step plan for a better trip to work. This will give you a a step-by-step process to find people to share a ride with and cut your costs in half.
With Shift, you have the ability to cut your parking (and gas) costs in half, and also… get paid $150 in cash. What’s that now? Read on.
And the best part? It’s completely free because Shift is a program of the ATL Airport Community Improvement Districts.
When you share a ride to work with someone else that works at the airport you have the potential to multiply the rewards you receive. It’s a win/win.
For example, if your parking provider offers a free day of parking for every 5 – 7 paid days, these can add up quickly.
On top of that, you can stack rewards you earn with Shift for carpooling, including $150 in cash rewards for each person in the carpool. Plus, you can earn points for insider discounts and chances for monthly $25-$40 gift card giveaways.
